Sony is releasing a new midnight blue color for their popular noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM5, this month. The midnight blue color covers the headband, earcups, and earpads, and has a copper logo on the arm. Despite the new color, the design, sound quality, and noise-canceling features remain the same as the award-winning Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones.
Sony’s WH-1000X series has been popular since its launch in 2016, and the 5-generation model had a sleeker design and improved noise-canceling capabilities.
Sony has made internal changes to the WH-1000XM5 headphones, including a new 30mm driver and doubling the number of microphones to eight, resulting in better noise cancellation performance. These headphones also have adaptive noise cancellation that can be customized for different environments.
The headphones support Google Assistant and Alexa and also offer Google Fast Pair for easy connectivity to Android devices. With noise cancellation activated, these headphones provide 30 hours of playback and 40 hours without noise cancellation.
